A Zennor holiday cottage looking straight out over the wild Atlantic sea.
Standing in complete seclusion, Chy Barnett is a Zennor holiday cottage in a spectacular position. A charming whitewashed granite cottage with uninterrupted, panoramic views of the wild and beautiful sea.
Very few other holiday cottages in the West Penwith area of outstanding natural beauty can match Chy Barnett’s position above the sea, next to the Gurnards Head headland.
You can swim in Treen Cove below the house, which has a sandy beach at low tide. We regularly see grey seals and, occasionally, dolphins and basking sharks. On land the Cornish choughs, peregrine falcons and ravens fly around the house.
Most of our bookings are from repeat guests (and we use the house as a family) but there are generally a few weeks available through our booking page.
It’s our extreme good fortune to have The Gurnard’s Head dining pub at the top of the track from the house. We love the atmosphere and food. We’d recommend a booking whether you stay with us or not. There are more great restaurants in Penzance, Mousehole, Newlyn and St Just.
If you’re interested in the local artists, there are many major galleries only a short drive away. Indeed, Zennor has been home of renowned artists such as Patrick Heron, while DH Lawrence lived in Zennor parish for a short time.
